Review: Neville Brody

Neville Brody is easily one of the most famous, graphic designers/typographers and art directors of the world. He has created master pieces in terms of design and has gone to influence thousands of people across the world. As well as a well respected graphic designer he has also developed many typefaces with his typeface company Font Book, go and have a look! Here as some pieces that I found of this, and I hope you appreciate them as much as I do.

The most pain I have ever suffered in my life :/

The most painful thing ever to happen to me!

I have two helix piercings in my upper left ear, and the second lowest one is the newest and only 3 months old…

Always wash your piercings with salt and hot water or what happened tonight could happen.

I didn’t bother washing this one… I regret it.

The back of the earring has skin growing over the back ball and I went and asked my Mum to take it out and she pulled the whole earring including the back ball through the front of my ear, through the cartilage.

The pain is shocking and the sight of it is even worse. :/

Day 03 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.

Well all I can say is each to there own on this one. But in my opinion…

Alcohol - Well nothings really that wrong with a bit of alcohol is there as long as you don’t drink yourself into the ground every evening or even become an alcoholic. Alcohol can add a little bit of fun to your night, but I disagree with getting “wankered” just for the sake of doing it, because then a great night turns into you being sick and then regretting how you acted due to your lowered inhibitions… That’s all I have to say on that. Nothing wrong with alcohol as long as you don’t over-indulge.

Drugs- For me they are a big no no… I think they can cause nothing but trouble in the end, and more than likely people get addicted and then suddenly a normal person’s life can be turned into this massive hole of nothingness. Its like alcohol though, I have nothing against people trying the softer stuff, but then anything than goes any higher than  class C drug is a big no no in my view… well all drugs are a no in my view. But each to their own I guess.

Day 02 - Where you’d like to be in 10 years.

Well, there are so many things in 10 years time that I would have liked to have come true.

Firstly, I would love to be married and even have a child by then, because I would be thirty and I know that I would love a loving husband and son or daughter. For me these are the most important thing that I see when it comes to my future, because these are the people that will be there for the rest of your life. Making your own little family in a small corner of the world, and filling that corner with love and devotion.

Secondly, my career. Being a graphic designer, I only want to head onwards and upwards, and in ten years time, I would have graduated 8 years previously and I prey that I would have a nice highly paid job in the industry. Whether it being in a company or free-lance. My over all goal is definitely to be an art-director and I know that I get do this for myself.

Review - Miguel Gonzalez :]

Miguel Gonzalez is a graphic designer from Mexico and he creates posters which have been heavily influenced by pop art and art found in comic books. His work grabbed me because of the simplicity and birght colours (cause I am a child…)

Hope you enjoy his work!

Day 01 - Current Relationship status...:]

Well that’s a good question to ask tbh.

I can safely say I am happily in love and every minute that we spend together I get closer, and closer to thinking “Is he the one?!” and it just puts a large coathangered smile right across my face.

Yeah things can never be perfect all the time, relationships all have ups and downs don’t they, but I have found someone so similar and yet so different, that there are never really many of those days, where we just need to argue it out.

I hope things work out for us, I really do. The stress of being a VERY-short distance relationship, and then turning into a very-long distance relationship for the 6 months I have had off this summer has been very tricky. My last long-distance relationship broke up a 3 year relationship, so I am so relieved that Me and Chris have made it through this. Going back to university next week and being in relitively close proximity will make life a whole lot easier, without having to rely on money, and train timetables.

…Oh! And I love him, very much.

So “current relationship status”….. Taken, and pretty damn happy about it all.
